Syd worked as a Senior Legislative Assistant for over 30 years for multiple members of the Washington state House and Senate. He is ready to create and fight for legislation that makes a difference for all of our communities. Unlike his main opponent who takes money from special interests - like Amazon, health insurance companies, and the Realtors PAC - Syd won't take corporate money. Priorities
How do we choose priorities when so many issues are important and intertwined? Capitalism, racism, settler colonialism, sexism, authoritarianism, ableism, and more, are roadblocks to building a better world, a sustainable world, a beautiful world.
We are all in this world together and we are connected to the Earth. We can make change if we struggle to shift the oppressive systems that shackle our minds and bodies. If we accept each other, dream together, and work together, we will make change. If that sounds hokey, well, maybe it's time to start dreaming again. When we fight together for something bigger than ourselves, we change for the better.
